Curriculum Assistant
Ms. Carmel Canales is the UTRGV-Edinburg CISD Collegiate Curriculum Assistant. She is a graduate of Benavides High School in Benavides, TX and attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville where she obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in Communications. She continued her education at The University of Texas-Pan American where she obtained a Masters of Education degree in School Counseling and completed the Principal Certification Program with Lamar University. She has been in education for over 23 years and has been with ECISD for 19 of those years. She has extensive experience in dual enrollment and community outreach. Ms. Canales is proud to call Edinburg home and to serve the students of ECISD. She is a firm believer that our public school system is the greatest asset to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
